Besides that, I get to use my sense of humor and I always have fun! :) Gilroy area artists had a yearly show, usually held on the last weekend in July (The same time as the famous "Gilroy Garlic Festival"), called "Local Essence " Awards went to artists in the primary show, and also to artwork entered in a special garlic category. This involves more imagination than you might think. So many ideas have been used, and the artists have to be extra creative to come up with something that's new and different.
